Re: Macbook
That is not constructive. When criticism is constructive you also tell why you don't like it. Then you also tell how you could improve it.Hiko wrote:constructive criticism: I would never use that.
I like it.
Re: Macbook
I have been trying out parallels, which allows you to run vista/xp from your mac here are some screenshots:

Secondly, something even better than virtualization (emulation) software is Bootcamp... Use that instead.
Re: Macbook
You install Windows to the harddrive and it will boot from the Boot Loader.
Oh and using Virtual PC's will shorten the time to CPU breakage about 30%

Re: Macbook
My CPU isn't over heating.
I don't want to install windows to the hardrive thats why it's not better.

Re: Macbook
It doesn't matter, the CPU's lifetime is shortened badly. If you'd like to keep it a little longer I'd suggest to install WINE.Cats11112 wrote:My CPU isn't over heating.

Re: Macbook
WINE doesn't open most the programs I want, Okay where is your evidence that it ruins your CPU?

Re: Macbook
It does, listen. A emulator emulates the CPU, right? So, not only does Macintosh use the CPU, but the Emulator too, so basically you more than double the CPU usage.
Re: Macbook
Well parallels (which cost me $110 from the apple store) doesn't use any more cpu then a high powering program, the worst case is one core for the Parallels and one core for OSX but thats when you have many programs open on Parallels which i never do as I barley use it

Re: Macbook
Just got photoshop, I also have Gimp, but I also have Aperture 2 , Painter X and Seashore
So I am able to make cool graphics with my mac now, I was quite surprised to see that Photoshop (mac version) is very similar to the windows version, so i didn't have to re-find things

It is a little more expensive than ordinary PC Laptops, but it's worth it.
