Oops sorry, the About box does say it's a WebKit app
So far, I’m having troubles with Roccat on Wikipedia: some of the gadgets (JavaScript) don’t work…

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
On the French Wikipedia, there's a gadget to add a portal with one click. It works flawlessly with Safari, Chrome and Camino but nothing happens with Roccat

I use v. 1.3. I’ve just tried again: it doesn’t work. And it’s the first time I see this

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
Ok we'll look into that, v1.2 did have displaying issues on a couple of sites. We thought we fixed the entire problem but obviously not!
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again,
Nathan

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
Also, I have problems when I type text in a text box, especially, again, on WK. Suddenly the text box gets very large, I can’t find the cursor.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
The text boxes are meant to get large when held down on for 5 seconds, I can't see any issues on the wikipedia page. Try letting go of the mouse or clicking off on the screen.
Also where is this wikipedia gadget as I can't seem to find it?

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
i’m afraid the text boxes get too large, sometimes I'm lost.
The gadget is on the French wikipedia, you need to modify your monobook. Wait… no! It’s in the Preferences!

Oh, before I forget!
The keyboard shortcuts for Zoom in/Zoom Out are used by Spaces on my non-US system. It only works for the menu bar.
Mac mini, 10.6.7

Thanks for letting me know!
I'm browsing the gadgets section in my preferences, do you know what the gadget is called?

Do you have an account on wk.fr?Nathan wrote:Thanks for letting me know!

The gadget is called BandeauxPortails.
The docs are here:

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
⌘ + and ⌘ - would be more convenient for Zoom in/Zoom Out IMHO. (Not sure how complex it would be to modify this.)

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
My account is on fr.wiki
Ok I have chosen it to be installed on Roccat and Safari so I can compare.
However still not entirely sure what the gadget is supposed to achieve, could you give me an example?
Thanks
Also I will change the command to "shift up arrow" and "shift down arrow"
The reason why I am not going to do plus and minus is because on the macbook family (macbook, macbook pro and macbook air) the plus and equals key is the same key, so you cannot have the zoom in function as actual size takes over.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
An example? Hmm… not easy. Try to find a page without portal. Or one where you’d like to add one. If the gadget is checked √ in the Prefs, you’ll see a (+) sign at the bottom of the page. Click it, type the name of the portal in the little text box and the gadget should do its magic (in theory).Nathan wrote:My account is on fr.wiki

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
Does it need to be a page without any portals?
I have tried adding a new portal onto a page which already had a portal and it worked fine in Roccat.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
Did you do it with the gadget? It works normally on Roccat if you do it “manually.”Nathan wrote:I have tried adding a new portal onto a page which already had a portal and it worked fine in Roccat.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
I pressed the little plus, started typing the name, clicked on an option and it added the portal.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
I tried again—to no avail. When I click, I get a preview of the page, without the portal that should be added by the gadget.
That’s not all. When I clicked the (+) sign, the little pop up list was on the top left on my screen and moved quickly to adjust itself to the little text box. It was almost scary

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
That's very strange because it's defiantly working for me, I have tested it and it's working on 3 different macs.
What screen size are you working on, I can't see why that would be a problem but I guess it's the only difference.
Here are the screenshots to show you:
I believe this is what you mean isn't working for you?
Thanks again,
Nathan

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
It's more simple. I click the (+) sign, I have a preview of the page but the portal has not been added
I don’t get this JavaScript error message.

Re: WebKit app? + Display Error -SOLVED-
Hmm interesting, well that's the only error I can generate but the portal is still added.
In your Security Preference what options are selected?
"Roccat>Preferences" then the "Security" button

"Enable JavaScript" is checked √Nathan wrote:Hmm interesting, well that's the only error I can generate but the portal is still added.

The thing is, I shouldn’t even have a preview of the page.
