Nope it lagged like crazy.
I discovered something funny while browsing the spore app yesterday. Oh, and it runs smoothly on Leopard, whilst it is extremely buggy and laggy on Tiger. I reinstalled it. It warns about "Your hardware might not be supported" but after updating it it runs super.

In the resources folder of the app, I saw a program called winhelper, and I realized, those bastards EA take a free program, put their program in it, package it as a .app file and sell it to Mac users, whilst it really is WINE!!!

Then why don't they have a Linux version? Cedega CIDER runs on Linux too. I mean, it is after all based on WINE.

I miss talking to you though.
Anyhow, back to SPORE.
It is way to repetitive. Quite boring after a while.

Why is it boring?

I was thinking of buying it, but maybe not then?

Hmm. It is worth it, definitely, BUT, it is way to repetitive. For instance, all your creatures will evolve the same. They won't look the same, (hopefully) but, there's not much to chose from. If you're a carnivore you'll be a war creature, a herbivore you will probably be religious, but you can chose war, if you're an omnivore, same thing as a herbivore. When you get up in space, you're constantly babysitting your colonies, or your allies. You "fleet" is ridiculously small, and there is really no objective.
That plus each stage is too, similar to another. Like, the tribal stage, you have two options, ally or conquer, a couple of things to do, play instruments, give gifts, attack, get food. All that explains tribal stage quite well. Creature stage, ally or kill, that will take you forward. Cell stage, eat. Yeah, not so much change. The civilizations in the Civilization stage don't expand, and yaaah.
It is rather repetitive. There will be a new expansion coming soon though, I think I'll get it. I've heard it will have a new stage.

My fave stages are Creature and Cell.
