Computers DO have the best games. And the best means of controlling games.
Though, add a little more CPU to what Adib say and you could pretty much go with a computer instead.
Even though I personally would not bring a desktop (tower) computer to school, or anywhere with me unless I'm moving.

Anyhow, 1250 is the money me and my mom are supposed to be able to live on for around 6 months... So, in other words. WAY to expensive.

If you think a laptop is not for gaming think agian get an area 51 Alienware notebook and dont tell me oh thats to expensive because its obvious that all AW A-51 notebooks are more that 1000 bucks! They all have like freek'n 2.5 ghz duel-core and crazy poo like that!
Anyway thats not my point... infact it's far from my point. My point is PCs are not consoles and if you want to be a PC gamer then you need to get a Gamepad, a good one at that, mine was like $70. If you think thats bad i was just recenly at future shop and they have a Joy stick that's about $200 (well $175 but with taxes it adds up to about 200)
Not only do you have to have a good gamepad you need to have a good monitor too. I have a laptop and it's like a 17 inch or so.

hm.. depends...

most games use the mouse for looking/aiming and they also determine where u go... and u use the W/A/S/D keys for forward,backward, and strafing.. if it's a gun game the scroll wheel usually changes your weapon.
