MSN server down? Empty MSN server down?

Here is the story so far:

I went onto MSN and got this message: sign into Microsoft messenger failed because the service is tempory unavailable. please try again later.

I thought that was annoying (i am on my mac) so I tried adium that didn't work. So I booted up my pc and it didn't work on the msn on there. I then tried an online msn and that didn't work. the my sister called my name and I came and she to had the same problem. I then phoned my friend as I was unable to talk to him on MSN and he to had the same problem.

could this mean the Microsoft msn messenger server is down?
