The thought of eating something that comes from an animal does not appeal to me.
I'm vegetatian, and I have been vegetarian my whole life. Due to that I can't eat meat (Fish and chicken IS meat, no matter what people say, if you eat that you are not a vegetarian), I always get horribly sick of very small doses, so getting used to eating meat does not appeal to me neither.
And the fact that eating meat would be murder (and most people today cant kill a pig just like that, would YOU?) and it is NOT very good for the health, I mean, since it's rotting process is beginning when rigor mortis has started, and I would NOT eat something that has begun to rot.
If everyone where vegetarians I believe that there would be NO lack of food since producing a full grown cow, takes about 3-5 years, and since a cow can eat over 10 fields on one SUMMER (around 40 in a year then, multiply that with 5 and you get 200), if people would plant something like potatoes instead of using those 200 fields on ONE cow (around 20 portions of meat, but only 10 of them are really usable) you would get a WHOLE lot more ammount of food.
I'm not AGAINST eating meat at all, but people eat far too much.
What I AM against is BIO Fuel, people think they are soooo environmental conscious, YET they take a WHOLE lot of food and turn it into 1$ of fuel. Feed that food to people in Africa and where it is needed and run on Electricity or take the bus.
