Atleast the download speed is good, last night it was going at 800+KBps

I emailed my ISP last night, I am ment to get a reply within 24 hours..

I have used abit over 400mb
It says I have a limit of 6GB but I am only ment to have 3GB and they don't even have a 6GB plan so either it's to do with that problem they said they had, or they have given me extra

Ahh, I know why it is doubled, because of the problem that it doesn't show your data useage correctly (even though it does for me) they have doubled everyone's data cap. They will stop it once they are 100% sure the data useage shows correctly..I presume it wouldn't go back until the next month...

There is some progress on the gaming problem...my modem is connected at 14mbps download and 0.9mbps upload but when I took a speed test it was only going at 0.58mbps download and 0.36mbps upload.

Like the ISP support person said, this is strange. I'm going to try to borrow a laptop to try with that, hopefully that'll shed some light.

I guess I wouldn't be too surpirsed if it was because of my computer
But it still wouldn't make sense...unless my computer is atleast partly faulty which I wouldn't rule out The computer I had before the computer before this () had a faulty motherboard and it worked as well as you would expect an old pentium 2 computer to work you wouldn't know it's MB was faulty unless someone told you

A friend is probably going to come round tomorrow with his laptop so I'll connect it to my modem and run a speed test and see if it goes as it should

With my friend's laptop, the speed test went at 0.66Mbps upload and 5.88Mbps download so that is a big difference...

And I timed it for a weekend so I probably won't get an email back till tomorrow...except it's a public holiday tomorrow so maybe not

I've gotten my internet to run faster, I used a program to 'optimize' my internet and now my computer is accessing the internet faster....It's not perfect but I guess it's probably pretty much all that can be done...maybe....

HAHA, I have almost used 18GB which is 3 times this months data cap and I haven't been slowed down...as long as I arn't charged extra it is good, not that they can charge me extra, my plan is ment to be fixed cost...it's not my fault that they didn't slow me down

Hehe, You can always yell that them if they do try and charge you extra. It often works for me

I used to until I got laser mouth beams, It really helps with yelling, however sneezing can be unfortunate...
