WALL·E
Okay.
I just HAD to make a topic about this movie.
It is LOVELY!
WALL·E is a robot (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class), who is left to clean up the earth.
Now, there was an army of WALL·E's, but all but one has malfunctioned, so WALL·E was left to clean up the mess alone.
After about 700 years a robot named EVE (Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) get sent down to earth. WALL·E, who had some kind of malfunctioning, and during theese 700 years developed a personality, falls in love with EVE.
EVE on the other hand doesn't care about WALL·E, she is only there to look for some kind of proof that life is sustainable on earth. When she doesn't find it, she gets very upset, and that results in her getting stuck on a magnet, taking her gun and blowing things up. Thats when she meets, and actually talk to WALL·E for the first time.
After a while WALL·E shows EVE a plant (I think it is a pea) and EVE's programming takes over, she enters some kind of hibernation mode, leaving poor WALL·E to take care of her, since he love her (During this time he even takes her on a date). When he practically has given up on EVE waking up, he, very depressed goes back to work. That same day a ship comes to pick EVE up, he, deeply in love hangs on to the ship.
Now, what I love about this movie, is that it is SO cute.
It is a Pixar movie, and a Disney movie, a perfect mixture, if I may say so.
The movie doesn't end with WALL·E hanging on to the ship, thats pretty much in the beginning, and this movie is SO worth seeing.
Neither of the robots talk that much English. About the only English words I recall is, Directive, plant and no. Autopilot (Auto) is an exception, speaking English fluently.
So with the robots you have to pretty much go by body language. And that is really easy to do when it comes to this movie.
My favorite part of this movie is when WALL·E hangs on to the spaceship, and gets launched into space. When he sees EVE (WALL·E tend to pronounce it EVA or EVÖ) and says "EVA, oh!" and pointing out in space as a way of saying, look, is REALLY cute.
Now I have spoken enough of this movie and I have to go see it again

Re: WALL·E
Cats is lying.
It is THE BEST film of the year. Probably the best film that Pixar has done since Monsters Inc.
It is so cute and lovely and aaaah.
I have seen it about 8 or 9 times by now...

Pixar is good at what they do. Linux is a part of it
Re: WALL·E
WALL-E is just another film trying to make a statement about the environment. Don't get me wrong; it's a cute and funny film, but it made several messages on being "eco-friendly in there.
Re: WALL·E

Some of the workers prefer Macintosh systems.
I mean, IBM still uses OS/2 and that is still used in Banks etc...
