Re: Apple iPad
I've had my hotmail account for YEARS and YEARS and YEARS and had only started to get a bit of spam at the end of last year/early this year, but I haven't gotten any of it for quite a while.
I don't mind having the one banner image in Hotmail, it's not like it is anything "bad" or obscene, mostly I just get ads of a NZ job finding website and the msn dating and perhaps sometimes some NZ bank...I'm used to there being the banner there, I'm nto worried about it one bit

Yeah, but sometimes I get flash ads, and that just slows it down. Plus, I don't like the interface as much. I'd much rather use a client, and I can't do that with Hotmail.Hellblade wrote:I don't mind having the one banner image in Hotmail, it's not like it is anything "bad" or obscene, mostly I just get ads of a NZ job finding website and the msn dating and perhaps sometimes some NZ bank...I'm used to there being the banner there, I'm nto worried about it one bit

Re: Apple iPad
You can use hotmail in Apple Mail.
iPhone doesn't have a client for it however you can still do it threw other using hotmail.com as the server.

Re: Apple iPad
Yeah, but it doesn't support IMAP, does it? I'm not a fan of POP3 as much, because I have to go into Hotmail and mark them read, and in that case I might as well just use it in-browser.Lonewolf wrote:...i've used my hotmail with Thunderbird... all you got to do is find out the inbox address. quick google search will give you the correct results
Re: Apple iPad

Re: Apple iPad
Last I checked, it doesn't. And also last I checked, I had 16 new emails. 14 were spam... Nothing in the spam box though...Nathan wrote:It might support IMAP?
Ugh... I... I just can't think about it. I might throw up. XDNathan wrote:Whats wrong with the good old Post Office Protocol version 3

All of them are to do with Pharmacy, what's up with that?
This topic is getting pretty offtopic....

Re: Apple iPad
Hehe, my mum always gets those and she's like why do they think I want to buy these things.
I have to try and explain that they are not solely directed at her...

Re: Apple iPad
Well, the only spam I've gotten recently are these weird emails with the subject "nice day", and a body consisting of "it is pretty" followed by a link. Yeah... THAT's not suspicious at all
Re: Apple iPad
Haha, well now if you way one of your friends gets those emails too, she'll understandNathan wrote:Hehe, my mum always gets those and she's like why do they think I want to buy these things.

Re: Apple iPad
It's a program that gives you a new type of punctuation that indicates sarcasm. But it doesn't have full compatibility with everything yet.
Re: Apple iPad
Ahh, I see. The name fits in with what it does (which is why it was called that, and what you would expect a name to do )
Re: Apple iPad
True, true. But the SarcMark will soon be the prevailing sarcasm identification method... I think...
Re: Apple iPad
Yeah, if it does work with most things later on, then it might do...if it gets anough advertising maybe..
