Twitter - SOLVED -
Hello. It appears viewing Twitter at Twitter's url is a sure bet to lock up/crash Roccat for Mac 10.8.2. . Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
We've had no reports of this, how are you accessing twitter?
And you using the FusedBar shortcuts @yourusernamr for example
Using the share with twitter from the social menu
Just going to twitter.com
Just going to your twitter profile page?
Also what is your Mac's spec to see if we can replicate.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
This shouldn't be happening, the only site which can sometimes cause freezing is YouTube but that's more a flash plugin issue as apposed to Roccat. However in recent years this problem is less know.
So a freeze on a basic site is odd, I will get the testing team to reserve a MacBook Air from our labs to test twitter on.
Thanks for letting us know!

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
Oh and furthermore if Roccat crashes from it and has a crash report please do send it to us!
Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
100% positive. Just installed it after the Twitter errors and got the latest SE7 Update 09-64 bit.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
What happens if you go Roccat>Preferences…
Choose security and disable Java and Javascript and then close the preferences menu.
Launch twitter again (a lot of features won't function correctly, but this is just to see if it freezes to give a better idea of the cause).

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
No crash. I opened 3 tabs, all on different Twitter pages, profile, home, etc., they all stood up.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
Try entering @Runecats into FusedBar (the address bar) and see what happens.
Also are you using Auto Proxy Discovery?
As this blog suggests it can cause this issue on a network: http://www.red-sweater.com/blog/2638/networking-crashes-in-mountain-lion
In system preferences go to network.
Click the advanced button then choose the proxies tab.
See if Auto Proxy Discover or Automatic Proxy Configuration is checked and uncheck it.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
Nathan- No and no regarding auto proxy. I do not have these checked. @Runecats takes me to your Twitter page at twitter.com/Runecats

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
Ok a few questions for you:
Did Roccat crash when it entered twitter.com/Runecats ?
Also have you installed the Mountain Lion 10.8.2 Supplemental Update 2.0?
Is Safari open as well as Roccat?
What's your RCloudsID?
Are you using Bookmacster or any plugins?
How do you close tabs the close button or using keyboard shortcuts?

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
I close by Xing out the tab. No plugins other than flash player and java. Fresh install. rClouds id is my user Id here above at Gmail. Not sure about Safari open, I'll check later. Apple updates all installed.

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
Thanks,
We have actually managed to recreate the issue you are having and it's definitely only happening on Mountain Lion.
We have double checked the code of this area and it seems perfect which is odd.
There doesn't appear to be any logical reason for this and we are starting to wonder if it's a glitch in the operating system.
However we are not quick to blame others so we are running extensive tests at the moment to see if we can work on a fix or worst case a temporary work around.
On the plus side we shouldn't need to ask you any more questions.
We'll keep you posted if we get anywhere!

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
So far we have discovered that it is restricted to Mountain Lion and it doesn't crash if javascript is off, or if you are using the mobile twitter.
So it could be a Mountain Lion issue or a Twitter issue which only effects Mountain Lion.
We will try and get in contact with Twitter and see if they can help us locate the issue.
Thanks for your patience!

Re: Twitter - SOLVED -
It turns out it was a Mountain Lion problem as apposed to a Twitter issue, oddly the code used complies 100% with Apple's documentation, however we have been able to recode that area to still comply with the documentation and Twitter no longer crashes.
So you can enjoy a crash free twitter experience in Roccat 3 - A huge section of code has been rewritten so there will be a LOT of testing required to ensure it doesn't cause any other issues!
But at least we have located and fixed the issue
