New Iphone - twice as fast half the price.

A new iphone is coming out on the 11th july.

It will have 3G, an appstore- which lets you buy software and games, it's twice as fast, and basicly has a lot of extra stuff lol.

and the best part it's $199!

I am quite annoyed that i have already bought an Iphone for $250 and now acheaper faster one with extras has come out.

but... i am still going to buy it

looking into it it seems that it may not be as good as it
seems for the simple reason on the 3 year contract
with AT&T which I hate, and there doesn't appear to

lol, NZ has 3G, my phone (which rules + best part it was only $150) is 3G

The iphone has 3g, edge and gps and wifi so your likely to get a connection

but i will not be buying this iphone if i have to buy a contract as well. i don't use my phone enough to have a contact plus it's with at&t which is the worst network ever I have had it before the coverage well... what coverage!

i know in the UK it's on something called 02 what is the network in other countries any with T-mobile or Virgin mobile?

Yesterday I bought the 2.0 update for the Iphone and downloaded a lot of the free apps, and today I have spent $100 of the paying apps such as super monkey ball and the crash bandicoot racing and the cro-mag etc... and I have got to say I am impressed with the graphics and game play and it's better than I thought, has any one else bought the update and know of any good apps and games?

I would get the new iPhone, but there's the obvious catch to it: the service costs a lot more. Of course I could find out how to and get verizon instead...

I would get the new I-phone, if I had the money for it but if I did have that money I prob wouldn't buy one as I would have half the amount of money for a new laptop.

For the connection here it would alright, i-phone is with Vodafone here and thats what my phone is with and it's good (well, considering we only have 2 networks for cellphones, well taht I know of)

They oftern sell them unlocked pay as you go on ebay

also why not get an Ipod touch instead?

I have an mp4 player and my phone can play music and videos so I don't think I need one

Maybe when I get enough money I will but this computer upgrade pack off trade me, it is all brand new and comes with a motherboard, a Pentium Dual Core 2.2 ghz cpu and a 1gb ram chip and it's only $265 buy now

I think all theese new cellphones are ridiculous. Honestly, I only use the phone to send Text's and call on, why would I want to play games on it?

lol, my mp4 player has a tetris game too! I use my phone to play games sometimes..... it is fun ......... and shows you how good java is unlike flash

i like the fact the iphone has a 3.5mm headset jack making music easyier
because right aid sells head phones for $4 or a dollar at the dollar store.
i got a htc tilt i fell in live with it but seeing the 3g apple iphone a secondary hot buy for me.

If I was to get a HTC phone I would go for the diamond.

I Hadley use my phone to text and call heres what i use from most to least:

Surfing the net
Email
Music
Games
Videos
Calling
Texting
Taking photos


If you buy a iphone, It could replace all of your stuff such as: DS, PSP, mobile phone, ipod, mp3/4, a portable video player, (maybe camera but it's not all that great)

If you like taking photos then the iphone is not for you although it's nice and easy to take photos.
If you like surfing the net as easily as your computer than the iphone is for you.
If you want to play the cool games which apple have to offer in the app store but you don't use your phone much then an ipod touch is for you.

videos, games, texting and email and calling are all good in the iphone.

ipaq and blackberry have some better points, one being the price, also i believe they have Microsoft office on them while iphone only has a reader so far, but i am lead to believe that it is being developed for the app store, and the newer ones have better cameras to the iphone and iphone has no video recorder. but the iphone is much easier to use.

lol i find it funny how the two best smartphone type are made by companies which are named after fruit. apple vs blackberry Lol.

As of now my ipod appears to have broken, I was downloading a game my ipod shut down and started up again but it hasn't moved on from the start-up screen, I am unable to fix it by the looks of things.

So I am not very happy at the moment.

You mean so it says something like "Welcome" or "Starting" and never gets past that?
So does my Sansa m240, my first MP3 player with 1GB
Although I think Ebbe can fix it.

Ok I think I have the cure to anyones iphone/ ipod touch which wont start up/ sync but it involves restoring here is what you do:

1. Connect the USB cable to your ipod but NOT your computer.
2. Open iTunes
3. Hold the Sleep and Home buttons until your screen goes blank.
4. Let go of the Sleep button (the one on top) and continue to hold Home (the round button below the screen) and plug the USB cable back into the computer. It should take about 15-30sec and iTunes will find your ipod and say it is in restore mode, continue with the full restore and use the back up version from your previous sync.
