Re: What is life?
Life was created by God, as a trial of each individual. - That's what I think life is.

Re: What is life?
Uh?
From the beginning of time everything has followed the laws of physics.
Life is also following them. I mean, you cannot choose to not believe in the physics, like, what is keeping us down and prevents us from floating around in space? The earth's gravity does, how? The earth rotates around it's own Z axis, which creates a strong magnetism and a strong g-force. To think about life means that a process of chemical reactions in our brain is weaving together our thoughts. There is no god. I mean, seriously.
Did God glue our feet to the ground and is he spinning the earth so thats why it rotates? Then we might aswell say that the earth is flat and that god is watching us from the skies, plus the sun and everything is circling around earth. I mean, it is very strange to think that there's a man with a huge beard sitting on some flying chair in the sky when plenty of people have been flying airplanes before. Life is obeying the laws of physics. Period.

It has always been here.J.Z.W wrote:Then explain how the universe came into being from nothingness.
It is that simple. Our brains does not accept it since it doesn't have a logical explanation. But then again, does anything have a logical explanation? God is only a projection caused by us humans who ALWAYS need a explanation to EVERYTHING. If it doesn't have a explanation it becomes a divine intervention, whilst it really is really simple and actually even logical to understand.
Re: What is life?
If we don't have something to believe in, we will just keep chasing our own made-up fantasies of how the universe was created.
Re: What is life?
That's what were doing with religion and all, chasing made-up fantasies!J.Z.W wrote:If we don't have something to believe in, we will just keep chasing our own made-up fantasies of how the universe was created.
I mean, if there where a god, hypothetically, if there is a god, WHAT have he done that will make ME believe in him/her? In what way have he/she earned my respect? In what way has he/she ever done anything which can make anyone believe in him/her? Nothing. The universe is constantly expanding. No one created it. Nothing can be in nothing, there is no room for anything else in nothing. So the answer to what made the universe is it has always been there.
Another possible theory is that there was a universe before that which imploded and created our universe. But god is something we humans have made up. My apologies to anyone having a religion, but that is the way it is.
Re: What is life?
How about the Opaque Era?
That proves that either the Universe was created from a singularity, unless there were some other crazy stuff happening back then.

Re: What is life?
Or how about the universe and life has always been here.
I doubt we are alone in the universe. I think that time is something we humans have made up so we have yet another thing to control. Depending on what planet you are on the time is different.
If you are on a space station up in space and you have a twin brother and you have the exact same age as he you will still be a few seconds younger than him because of the time difference in space.
Lets face it, time too is made up. One year on earth is not by far one year on Pluto. So saying that the universe is 13.5 to 14 billion years is not the same on Pluto, on the moon or on Mercury. Therefore the universe cannot be aged, we cannot say that it was created a certain amount of years ago because time is made up by humans.
Simple

What if we don't? I mean, what if we only die and nothing more?J.Z.W wrote:This argument could last until we die, and we finally find the truth...
When we're dead we won't be concious so who cares?
Re: What is life?
You know, people who believe in that theory are more likely to commit crimes, because they want to get the most they can out of life.
Re: What is life?
Yeah, and people who do that must have a IQ below 50 because you have a 0,1‰ chance of getting wealthy or whatever.J.Z.W wrote:You know, people who believe in that theory are more likely to commit crimes, because they want to get the most they can out of life.
Re: What is life?
Usually, when something works, people tend to do it alot. Crime isn't exactly a rare profession.
