Where did Windows 7's innovative features come from?

Easy. The answer is Mac OS X.
Anyone who can list an innovative feature that doesn't already exist in Mac OS X will get a cookie.
Here are two that exist in OS X.
Anyone who have seen a recent image of Windows 7 knows about the "new" taskbar (Windows 1.01).
Either way, when you are downloading something or performing a action such as deleting a big file, uploading to a FTP server, the Explorer icon in the taskbar will show the progress.
Look below at the two images, see, I'm downloading something in Safari, and it shows the progress in a stack.
Then we have the pop up menus, displaying content of a folder etc. Well, that is so innovative that Apple was before with that with a couple of years, I had it in Tiger.


Same function.

Well duh!

I could of predicted the new features would have come from apple before the OS came out, in-fact I can predict there next OS will to!

I'm kind of waiting for Microsoft to "invent" virtual desktops. Something that have been in Linux for ages.

Yep, I had to make my own app to do that, Microsoft should make there own one and out it in the OS, it wouldn't be hard.

yea, AND, They will be sooo good I mean, then they have reinvented the wheel for the 5000th time.

simple question. what are the min specs for win 7 b/c i wanna try to run it in virtualbox but i only have 1gb of ram...

512 ram
7gb HDD

512MB RAM (You can patch a installation file and run it on 256MB, it runs smoothly, but you can't have many apps open)
And 14GB HDD. The old was 7GB HDD, but not anymore.
